A couple of good things about plastic or cr39 lenses, so first of all they’re the least expensive. that’s nice! But it is different from the previous plastic that I was talking about the cr-39 lenses. Because polycarbonate is actually 10 Times stronger than the cr39 plastic. And for this reason, it’s used in safety, glasses and sports glasses, a lot. And in most of our safety glasses, you will also find polycarbonate lenses. The material is lighter and has a higher index of refraction than cr39 plastic. This means the lenses are thinner and lighter. And another important property is that polycarbonate blocks 100 up rays.
Lightweight Glasses
That makes it great for sunglasses, but it does need a special up coating sill, which makes it more expensive. So it’s a lot more lightweight and it can use in tough conditions.
