LINCOLN PARK ZOO

Adler Planetarium

The oldest Planetarium in the western hemisphere, the Adler Planetarium was opened in 1930 and is also one of the prettiest planets around. Shedd Aquarium

Exhibits ranging from Caribbean coral reefs to Beluga whales can be found here and for a small addition. Field Museum

Opened in 1921, the Field Museum of Natural history has a staggering 40 million specimens and caters to a variety of fields. The Museum here has many unique and one-of-a-kind pieces and also sports interactive and audio-visual exhibits on display. Some of the exhibits here include: Inside Ancient Egypt, American Indians in the Military and Grainger Hall of Gems. Museum Of Science and Industry

Promoting a hands-on approach to learning and having fun. The Museum of Science and Industry is sure to keep every member of the family entertained for hours. The Science Museum here is the largest in the Western Hemisphere. And the exhibits range from spinning tornados to real-life U-Boats. Get here early and give yourself a whole day to explore through the numerous installations here. Food can either be brought in or bought from the cafeteria according to your liking.

Chicago Children’s Museum

Founded in 1982, it is a great place for kids below the age of 10. The Chicago Children’s Museum is set up in a fun and interactive space that allows kids to tinker with tools and ideas. Maggie Daley Park
