CAN TRICOPIGMENTATION BE DONE AFTER A TRANSPLANT

This is a very common indication

This is a very common indication. Indeed, some patients are disappointed by the density obtained after a hair transplant. So We can densify this result with tricopigmentation.

We “drown” the unsightly grafts, sometimes a little too thick and we can also camouflage a possible scar left by an FUE or FUT transplant. Our method does not damage the grafts because the pigment is not placed in the same layer.

You will have to respect a post-transplant healing period of 12 to 18 months.

DOES THIS METHOD DAMAGE EXISTING HAIR?

Tricopigmentation has no negative effect on existing hair, nor on its future growth. Indeed, the pigments in scalp micro usa are not placed in the same layer of skin as the bulbs of the hair. Thus, even a hair transplant would be possible after a tricopigmentation treatment.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE TREATMENT RIGHT AWAY?

It is essential to have a first consultation with a professional tricopigmentist/dermographer before starting a treatment.

The first contact allows us to study your morphology and your colorimetry. A health questionnaire will be carried out and we will really identify your expectations. We can then establish an estimate for the treatment.

WILL I FEEL PAIN?

Tricopigmentation is not invasive (no anesthesia) but tingling may be felt. Thanks to the technologies we use (superfine needles, computerized devices), the tingling effect is greatly reduced.

Anesthesia products are contraindicated because they thicken the skin and often contain a saline base, which can compromise the final result.

IS SPECIAL CARE REQUIRED AFTER TREATMENT?

You can use a healing cream after your treatment. To ensure that your tricopigmentation remains optimal, we give you a list of personalized advice and precautions to follow after your treatment.

IS THE FINAL RESULT VISIBLE QUICKLY?

After the first session, you will be able to visualize the final transformation but the result will not be optimal because your immune system will ingest up to 70% of the pigments.

Indeed, even if we use medical grade pigments, your immune system will treat them as a foreign body at the first session.

Following the second session, we obtain 70 to 80% of results because your immune system will not ingest as many pigments. Indeed, there is a “recognition of the molecule”. Thus, you will be really satisfied after the second session.

The third session is dedicated to the realization of details and reliefs and if necessary to more density. We therefore obtain 100% results and your complete satisfaction.

CAN YOU HAVE AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO PIGMENTS?

The scalp micropigmentation training pigments we use are of excellent quality, bio-absorbable, respecting European standards.

Zero risk does not exist but to date no case of allergy has been declared”. Our high quality pigments are sterile, they are the only ones to be authorized in a hospital environment.

They meet all French and European standards and are vegan. They have been dermatologically tested and are non-toxic, so they pose no danger to your health.

WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE STARTING TRICOPIGMENTATION?

It is imperative to wash your head before a session. It will also be necessary to stop all use of hair lotion for the previous 2 weeks.

Avoid taking cortisone, anti-inflammatories, aspirin, and alcohol the previous 2 days (if you are under treatment it is better to postpone the session).

Do not expose yourself to the sun for the previous 2 weeks (or UV cabin).

SHOULD I SHAVE MY HEAD BEFORE COMING?

If, during the consultation, you were advised to cut your hair, then you must actually come with your hair shaved to 1 or 2 mm maximum.

CAN I GO TO WORK THE NEXT DAY?

The method is much less invasive than one imagines: 90% of treatments are completed during the day.

Only cases of universal alopecia require 2 days of treatment. The redness lasts 24/48 hours maximum in most cases.

WHAT SHOULD I DO AFTER MY SESSION?

Do not wash your head before the 5th day.

For 1 week: no sports, no pool or sea

For 2 weeks: do not expose yourself to the sun, no sauna or hammam.

CAN I DO MY HAIR COLOR?

You can dye your hair at least 48 hours before a session and you must wait at least 10 days after the session.

CAN I PUT MY PROSTHESIS/WIG BACK ON BETWEEN SESSIONS?

It is imperative not to wear a prosthesis/wig 2 days after the treatment.

During the 2 to 4 weeks between the two sessions, you can wear it by limiting the use of adhesives (do not put glue on the entire prosthesis/wig). It must be removed as soon as possible in order to properly oxygenate the pigmented area for proper healing.

The prosthesis or wig must be perfectly clean, especially the 10 days after treatment.

CAN I USE COSMETIC PRODUCTS?

We advise not to apply products such as hairspray or gel the week following the session.

As for hair lotions, we do not recommend their use on a permanent basis because some components can be abrasive and therefore alter the hold of the pigments, or even generate a change in the hue.

CAN I CONTINUE TO TAKE MY TREATMENTS?

We do not recommend the use of minoxidil-type lotion because we find that this tends to “dilute” the pigment, and this alters the hold. This implies that patients need to maintain pigmentation faster and more often. We can advise you on specific maintenance products.

THE RESULTS FADE AFTER HOW LONG?

The Patients are typically interviewed two years following their initial tricopigmentation and Patients are also typically interviewed two years following their initial tricopigmentation. Patients are typically interviewed two years following their initial tricopigmentation.

But it also depends on several exogenous and endogenous factors:

the phagocytic power: the immune system ingests the pigments and destroys them, more or less quickly depending on the patient.

the pigments are placed superficially in the skin. The process of natural cell regeneration has the effect of “expelling” them The more active cell regeneration is in a young patient, the better.

the pigments can be altered by the use of more or less “abrasive” products, such as certain shampoos, creams, lotions.

UV radiation causes the pigments to lose their grip.

certain sports practices can alter the hold of pigments such as swimming (bleaching agents such as chlorine), and practices that generate a lot of perspiration.

certain leisure activities such as the sauna or the hammam, which promote cell renewal, can alter the hold of the pigment.
