The Serai in Jaisalmer is the ultimate camping pleasure if you have the money to burn. If the idea of sleeping in a tent doesn’t strike you as a luxury, you’ll be in for a major shock when you visit The Serai.
The Serai, which consists of 21 sizable tents built on a base of Jaisalmer stone, is anchored on thirty acres of desert scrub in the Great Thar Desert. Each tent is more than a thousand square feet in size and has a luxury bathroom, a large bedroom, and a covered sitting area. You will also have your own private garden with a sunken pool if you choose one of the Luxury Tents.
This Royalty features a fantastic spa on site, a sparkling outdoor pool, a roomy lounge, and eating tents. Additionally, there is a pool, jacuzzi, and lounge bar available for visitors at the Serai. However, one of the most unique features of the Serai is that visitors are free to consume alcohol and eat food wherever on the property, including inside or outside. Perfect for enjoying the sunset or having a meal outside.
Damodara desert camp:
Damodara Desert Camp is a brand-new camping destination in Jaisalmer that provides a private, opulent camping experience. Only eleven Swiss tents are present. It debuted in 2011. It is noticeably quieter than the nearby other sites.
The majority of the staff members are local villagers, and the setting is furnished with antiques to give it a flavour of a normal hamlet. This elegant camp solely uses puppet shows and Rajasthani dance with traditional music to entertain its guests, refusing to use DJs or loud music. Private dunes distant from the busy area are where camel safaris are conducted.
On the rooftop patio of this captivating location, stargazing at night is an incredible experience. The restrooms and the tents themselves are both spotless. Heaters and air conditioners are provided in the tents. You’ll be shocked by how cosy a tent can be after spending a night there.
Prince desert camp:
Nearly 30 tents are available for camping at Prince Desert Camp in Jaisalmer. A handful of the most opulent camps are located close to the Sam Sand Dunes. The suite tents have nice interiors and superior toilets to the standard tents.
There is no noise because it is situated far enough away from the camp complex on the main road, which turns out to be an important consideration. The fact that there are dunes just outside the camp adds to the authentic feeling.
Early in the morning is the best time to take a stroll around the dunes. Hot showers are available in the tents, and the food is delectable. The camp is expertly run, and there are hospitality services available.
Mama’s desert camp:
A fantastic mid-range camp is available at the Mama’s Desert Camp in Khuri, which is located 40 kilometres from Jaisalmer. Every year that goes by, more people are visiting this brand-new dune paradise.
