Easy Duck Drawing For Kids
Drawing For Kids You may have noticed a few ducks flying in and out of the water if a pond is close to your house. Drawing ducks is enjoyable since they are light, fluffy, and colorful, and there are wide varieties to select from. If you’ve never drawn a duck before, you can start with the simple method and work up to the more difficult ones to wow your friends.
Draw A Duck Drawing
1:
- To create the duck’s head, draw the upper portion of a question mark. Create a shape that resembles the upper part of a question mark starting on the left side of your paper using your pencil or marker. The head and some of the neck of the duck will be this. Turn the form in a landscape direction if you’re drawing on paper to give yourself additional space to work with.
2:
- Point the line’s end and then drop it down the neck. Give your duck a beak right away! Draw a line that curves slightly inward before falling on the front portion of the line you just drew to form a question mark. This phase will result in the formation of the head and neck of a duck.
- You’ll add many more elements to your duck before it’s finished, so don’t worry if it doesn’t look very detailed.
3:
- Draw a curved line from the neck backward to add a body. Consider the appearance of a duck sitting down. Starting at the base of the duck’s neck, draw a line with a curve in the middle (for the duck’s back) using your pen or pencil. To add a tail, slightly bend your line as you approach the edge of the page.
- A duck’s body is about three times as big as its head.
4:
- Add one more curved line to the body to finish it. Drag your sketching tool from the duck’s tail to the front of its neck. To give your duck a rounded body, bend this line as well. Connect the lines when you reach the duck’s neck to finish the duck’s outline.
- When first learning to draw, it’s easy to depict a duck sitting in water. You can avoid drawing your feet that way (which can be tricky).
5:
- Sketch the beak’s details. Once you’ve drawn the general shape of your duck, you can begin to add details.
- Grab your pen or pencil, move it up to the duck’s beak area, and mark the top of the beak with a curving line with a pointy center. Draw a little dot in the upper corner to represent the nostril, and then add a straight line along the lower half of the beak to indicate the opening.
- Due to the curvature of ducks’ heads, their beaks are somewhat bent.
6:
- To make the duck’s eye, fill in a circle with color. Draw a tiny loop on the upper area of the duck’s head. To make it appear as though a glint of sunlight is reflecting off your duck, color only the lower half of the eye and leave the top blank. One quick tip to improve the appearance of your drawings is to leave a portion of the eye uncolored.
7:
- Sketch some features of swooping feathers. Draw a curving line from the front to the back of the body to give your duck wings, and add some smaller swoops for the feathers. Add two to three lines to the back of the duck’s body for some adorable, pointed feathers if you want to give it a more realistic tail.
- If you use a pencil to draw the duck’s body contour behind the tail, you could erase it.
8:
- in drawing for kids, the duck should be painted white with a yellow beak. Use a white colored pencil or crayon to fill in the body of your duck if you wish to give it some color. Then, for good contrast, use yellow for the beak. You now have an American Pekin duck for your walls to adorn.
